Asphalt shingles come in a wide variety of attractive colors and designs and are a tried and true solution for most commercial or residential, steep-slope applications. Some asphalt shingle products some with a lifetime manufacturer's warranty.
This popular product consists of a fiberglass reinforcing mat at the center of the shingle, which is coated first with mineral fillers (that adhere to the fiberglass) and then with asphalt, which makes the shingle waterproof. The top surface of the shingle is then embedded with a layer of ceramic granules.

Tile roofing comes in a wide variety of colors, designs and materials. Roof tiles can be made of concrete, clay (terracotta), natural stone, metal or synthetic materials. Tile roofing is an attractive, long-lasting and economical roofing solution suitable to most steep-slope applications.
With modern innovations, roof tile manufacturers can produce tiles to suit any architectural style, from authentic Spanish and Mediterranean to New England Colonial, historic, or contemporary. Roof tiles can be flat or round, simulate wood shakes, or seek to replicate centuries-old roofing materials.
Due to its resistance to severe weather, concrete and clay tiles continue to be a preferred roofing material among designers and engineers for steep-slope applications.
Under normal conditions and when properly installed, tile roofs require very little maintenance.

Metal roofing is a durable roofing material typically made of aluminum or steel (it can also be found in copper or a zinc alloy). It comes in either long vertical-seam panels (typical to commercial applications) or smaller inter-locking panels that are designed to resemble common residential roofing materials like asphalt shingles, cedar shakes, concrete tile, clay tile or slate.
Steel roofs come with either a zinc coating or painted finish. Copper roofs are installed unfinished and acquire a protective green patina with age.
Sheet metal roofing is fairly lightweight and can be installed with the fasteners hidden (standing seam) or exposed. Metal roofing is typically very durable and offers good fire and wind resistance.
When installed on a flat or low-sloped roof, metal roofing often has a roof coating applied.
